  • Robert (Bob) Theriault- Executive Director

    Bob Theriault is the Founder and Executive Director of Shares Corporation, a 501C3 Non Profit organization located in Lyndonville, Vermont. Shares Corporation was formed in the Fall of 2020 shortly after Bob’s graduation from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Individualized Studies. Bob’s area of study focused on homelessness issues and how the government fails to recognize its failures in providing adequate housing and health care for this most vulnerable population. Bob spent most of his adult life in the Law Enforcement field starting his career as a police officer in Danvers, Massachusetts as an auxiliary police officer before taking a patrol officer position in Hampton, New Hampshire. Bob and his wife Darlene are the proud parents of four children and five grandchildren and currently reside in St. Johnsbury, VT.

  • Samantha (Samm) Theriault- Director

    Originally from Ossipee, New Hampshire, Samantha moved to Vermont in 2015 to attend college and play volleyball at the collegiate level. Samantha is a 2019 graduate of Northern Vermont University at Lyndon with dual bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology and Human Services. During college Samantha had the rewarding opportunity to work as a Registered Behavior Technician with children on the autism spectrum. Upon graduation, Samantha transitioned into the criminal justice field, working with youth and families considered “at-risk” by providing case management, probation monitoring, and restorative justice practices as the Balanced and Restorative Justice Coordinator and Diversion Case Manager for Northeast Kingdom Youth Services in St Johnsbury, VT. During her time at Youth Services, Samantha completed multiple trainings and workshops related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing. Samantha is currently certified in Mental Health First Aid as well as HIPPA Compliance. With a strong passion for social work and social justice issues, Samantha is dedicated to providing the best supports and services available to those in need.

    Samantha currently works full-time for the State of Vermont Department of Corrections.

  • Darlene Theriault- Treasurer

    Darlene is originally from Ossipee, New Hampshire and relocated to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in 2016 as her daughter Samantha and husband Bob were both attending Lyndon State College.

    Darlene graduated from Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire where she played basketball, softball, and ran cross country.

    She went on to attend Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration. While at Endicott, Darlene played both college basketball and softball.

    She served on the Ossipee Old Home Week Committee for five years and was a four-term past President of the Emblem Club.

    Darlene and her husband Bob are the proud parents of four children and grandparents to five grandkids.

  • Russell Humphrey

    Russell has a passion for development, and supporting non-profits.

    He has held several board positions with the Vermont Icestorm football team (semi-pro) (501c-3), Camp Exclamation Point (current) (501 c-3), the Burlington Moose Lodge #1618 (current) (501c-8), as well as currently being the District #1 President of the North East Moose Association.

    Russell has over 30 years of fundraising experience working with/for organizations listed above, as well as, Vermont Special Olympics, Relay for Life, Hope for Hannah (Cystic Fibrosis) and the Vermont Children's Hospital among many others.

    Russell is a 14 year veteran of the US Army as well as playing 11 years of Semi-pro football, before a coaching career with the North Stars and the South Burlington Dolphins (7/8th grade) youth league.

    Russ is looking forward to using his skills to support SHARES’ ongoing mission.

  • Robert Buchanan

    Robert Buchanan has been a community leader for decades, active in providing support to under-represented communities, in New York, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and most recently in Vermont. He has also been a scholar and a professor at Plainfield's, Goddard College.

    He has a PhD in American History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a national scholar in Disability Studies.

  • Dane Mallett

    Dane was born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom and first became involved with SHARES through his college internship. During his time with SHARES, he assisted with getting our office space up and running- helping with various carpentry projects, technical assistance, grant writing, and our social medias.

    Notably, he created a digital blueprint model of a tiny home community that SHARES dreams to implement one day to provide housing and resources to those who are unhoused.

    Dane is a 2021 graduate of Northern Vermont University at Lyndon with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

  • Jaren Jeffcoat

    Jaren [He/Him] joins Shares Corporation after a long career in human services in the Central Vermont communities through the Department of Children and Families – Family Services Division and Washington County Youth Service Bureau as well as a career as an insurance professional. Through this career path Jaren has received training on Trauma-Informed Care, Foundations for Child Welfare and Youth Justice Casework, and is a member of Vermont Mutual Insurances Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Jaren is dedicated to support growth and health in Vermont communities for all citizens.

    In his spare time Jaren plays several sports, board games, and video games. Jaren plays for the Vermont Ravens and in various competitive leagues around Vermont. He currently resides in Northfield, VT.
