SHARES is a 501c3 Nonprofit Based in Northern Vermont.

We are an organization passionate about lending a hand to the unhoused, as well as individuals and families with food insecurities in communities throughout the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. SHARES meets the immediate needs by providing clothing, food, pet food, and other daily essential items, as well as coordinating with social service agencies and providing hope for the future.

SHARES was founded by Bob Theriault, a 2020 graduate of Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont. Bob started his college career at age 58, after spending many years in law enforcement community. Bob started his undergraduate degree at Lyndon State College (now NVU), before transferring to Goddard College his junior year. At Goddard, Bob’s studies focused on issues surrounding the homeless population and how government services could use strengthening for this vulnerable population.
